Is it worth having an Art thread I wonder ? I like Art, I can appreciate the talent & skill of the old Masters, I love the power & passion put into each composition, the vibrancy, the swathes of painted satin & cloth, the toture on some faces etc. I like the hidden messages that some of the more famous painters used to say what could not be said out loud.
I like this painting because it does look like the young boy is climbing out. Maybe he stole something & needs to run off ?

Are you talking about the fire? I don't think he's in very a fire prone area. There's a whole line of cranberry bogs protecting the settlement from the forested mountains, then there's the sea. The forests cut out to the north of him.
