My signed Hobbit book is for sale
I am selling my rare signed Hobbit book on Ebay. Some of you may be interested in it as its 100% genuine. It was donated by Mark Hadlow and is signed by Peter Jackson as well as the major cast members. I have letters from Mark and Weta that will provide provenance of my book.

{Signed by Tolkien would be incredible and rare and valuable I am sure. Signed by PJ ? Well I suppose I need some toilet paper. }}

If it was LotR which is remembered fondly by many people, it may be a good investment. But the Hobshit is just throwing away money.

Re: My signed Hobbit book is for sale
haha, what a poor reception lister77. Not many Jackson fans 'round here when it comes to The Hobbit films.
Still, Sir Ian's signature would be quite nice.

Re: My signed Hobbit book is for sale
Wow, I have opened a can of worms with this post. Happy to put myself down as a neutral, so you can all post your true feelings, I promise I wont take offence. Absolutely nothing wrong with be a purist.
I did enjoy the books and the movies and Hobbiton was impressive to visit when I lived in NZ.
I confess I adore NZ, my kids are Kiwis and I will go back in a heart beat.
The tourist numbers show that Jackson has done an amazing job of showcasing how amazing NZ can be.
My ownership of the item was purely from a supportive view To be honest for a while I forgot I actually owned it.

{{ Hi lister77, dont worry we have a bit of fun with PJ on here, especially after TH films.
Don't think you will find anyone who thinks they were good films. LotR's on the other-hand you will find plenty folk here singing its and PJ's praises, just not me among them! I have a terrible singing voice
But you are very welcome to Forumshire. }}

Re: My signed Hobbit book is for sale
Yep, the Hobbit was a botch job. Thanks for coming back, Lister, it shows you're not just a commercial poster, which is appreciated. Except for Petty who kvetched about the grass there is general enthusiasm for the Hobbiton set around here. Made you feel you actually were in Tolkien's world.
