I dont think age is any indicator. We have a mix of ages here from teenage to 50s, and nobody likes the films.
Thats the beauty of the Tolkien books they appeal to the young at heart, whether you are 9 or 90.

Age is just a number, gives no indication of intelligence, feeling, empathy, sympathy etc. You only need it to fill out forms in my opinion. But, I spose if I WERE 9yrs old, I might like The Hobbit ???? But Im not & I dont !

Wisdom doesn't come with age. But the sense of entitlement that you can get away with being an asshole to pretty much everyone does.

I think the opposite is true for me. When I was a teenager I was even more stroppy than I am now and I didnt care. With age comes the realization that the world doesnt revolve round you.

I find it interesting how we used to have a lot of teenagers on here -- Squach, Tin, Ally, OG Beren (I think), Ringo, Norc, and myself, among others, were all under 18 when we started posting -- but all our new members have been at least in their 20s. As everyone grows older, I'm pretty sure Squach is the only teenager who made a substantial number of posts on here, and she isn't active anymore anyway.

that kind of suggests that people dont grow or mature with age. I disagree, I am a much less selfish person now than I was as a very young person, if life doesnt teach you more compassion and love what the fuck is the point of living?

Yep, tumblr. And I'm not sure most of them would want to stick around here because of all the PJ bashing we do. From what I've seen, there's ALOT of fanfiction fans over there... and I'm including the Hobbit films as fanfiction
