Yeah, Az. You should definitely go for a job in radio dj'ing Wink

Not sure I follow the ".. switch into your heathen lingo!" line though, as I think me, norc and amarië sound infinitely more different when speaking Norwegian than English.. Razz

Very cool and kinda weird to hear everyone's voices at long last, everyone sounded completely different to what I was expecting, I love your dialect Am, Az you should totally consider a career in audiobook reading, and was that a copy of The Sun I spotted Petty?  Suspect

And no, I will probably not be recording a video, because A) I have a crappy camera and B) I hate being seen/heard on camera, much like the reclusive film director I took my username from, I'd prefer to remain the man of mystery (not actually sure if the SD card slot in my laptop still works so I'm entirely sure I'd be able to upload a video anyway)... Sofa

I will say that comic book Bilbo in my forum avatar has similar hair to me (though he has more of it  No ) and I live in Hampshire, England (in between Southampton and Portsmouth to be a little more precise) the traditional Hampshire accent is quite rare nowadays, most of us seem to sound like posh cockneys, I have a accent fairly close to what most would consider Estuary English:

So, uh...closer to Ricky Gervais or Russell Brand?

(I see it's a whole bloody island of non-rhotics)

I'm not going to listen to those two twerps again if I can avoid it, but I suppose closer to the former? Maybe a bit posher (compared to Az and Petty I probably sound like I'm a member of the Royal Family).

Accents can change every 20-30 miles in parts of the UK, Portsmouth had its own cockney like traditional accent for years but that's becoming rarer, my great Uncle has lived in Wales for 61 years after moving down from the midlands, but still has a noticeably different accent to my native Welsh great Aunt etc

I prounce Southampton Sowfhamptun (emphasis on the p)
