Ah, haha. God. Well, I'm glad you liked it.  The last thing I needed was for another person on here to be angry with me.

Looking at this from a legal point of view for a second (as it amuses me), a court case about this might actually be interesting.

As a copyright breach I don't think they would have a case, first as I'm not sure I reproduced any copyrighted information, and even if I had, the fact that it's a parody I think is quite obviuos. And parodies are exempt from normal copyright protection.

The question then is wether, if we assume the NotP logo is a registered trademark, there might a trademark breach here. Now, the same rules apply as far as exemption from the rights of trademark holder in case of parody. But aside from the actual content of the released material, which I would say is an obvious parody, the actual NotP logo is exactly the same as in a normal NotP release. The legal question would then be if this is likely to confuse people, in as far as they would wonder if this was an actual NotP release, or, if not, if it would imply some kind of financial connection betwen me and the NotP.

In other words, the considerations of an exemption as a parody would be a different and stricter consideration under trademark rules

So, it's possible they might have a case there. Perhaps seeing the whole released parody front page, which so obviously is not up to the level of a normal NotP release, would make any confusion as to origin unlikely. But it's definitely not a clear cut question, with the trademark reproduced exactly, as it is.

I'll primarily hold that this as a parody does not constitute a trademark breach.

I'll subsidiarily hold that there is no confusion of origin or implication of financial connection, and therefore no trademark breach.  

If that doesn't work I'll tertiarily hold that the NotP has relinquished it's trademark protection through non use. (Below the belt perhaps, but this is litigation.)

And if that doesn't work.. Well, there's always Argentina.
