Re: BEORN THE SHAPE SHIFTER
There's a 10-minute scene involving Alfrid getting stuck by his boobs to various catapults, troll's clubs, falling boulders, and runaway carts.- Forest

Re: BEORN THE SHAPE SHIFTER
I kinda want to see a sequel to Braindead (aka Dead Alive) now that Jackson's got the money and clout, it would be even more demented and over the top than the original (but no doubt lack its heart and low budget, gore drenched charm)

Re: BEORN THE SHAPE SHIFTER
Funny, I was just thinking about the sorts of movies Jackson was good at....
... still haven't seen movie 3.... Saw 1 a couple of times and 2 once - but still holding out on movie 3... though I have started to become curious about it.... dangerous business, curiousity....

There's a lot in there that will cause you to heave fine vase-ware about on first viewing; more than the first two, actually. But once you've recovered and accepted, there's other parts that are quite good and worth remembering rather than trying valiantly to forget. On repeated viewing you know ahead of time where to sigh and shrug to forestall the apoplexy, and it becomes more worthwhile.

Oh...for some reason I thought we were discussing Return of the King. If discussing the hobwit then I retract my statement about there being good parts.

Sorry Halfy, maybe its me ? I just got carried away with the euphoria of having a forgetful mind I assume when Orwell says he's not seen movie3 that he's talking of that vomitfest

Re: BEORN THE SHAPE SHIFTER
Well we are in the hobbit section of the forum, so it seems your assumptions are better than mine. Looking back through the thread I have no reason to assume anyone was talking about RotK.

Re: BEORN THE SHAPE SHIFTER
I'm betting Id enjoy the game Petty posted far better than watching The Gobbit, looking back, its such a shame, such a wasted opportunity.

More like The Gobshite.

I thought the Hobwit was a parody of particular magnificence, Halfy, even if only half finished!

Re: BEORN THE SHAPE SHIFTER
I was thinking... do you think the people at Amazon will write in more people like Beorn? Or do you think they'll just do Sauron/Numenorians stuff?

RA!
So good to have you back!
I'm thinking they'll follow the GoT model and keep the magic even more in check than Tolkien did.
