And Im crabbit!   This is supposed to be a thread about my nations struggle for freedom, not a thread for those wishing to struggle into Viggo's underpants!

I think I have more chance of my country becoming independence than of anyone here finding there way into Viggo's undercrackers (not even Ringo, well probably not even Ringo, ok maybe not even Ringo)

Interesting goings on regarding the CBI.

The CBi is the Confederation of British Industry- the largest and most powerful business lobby group in the UK, representing companies all over the UK and with strong connections to the Bank of England.

Yesterday they announced they would not be remaining impartial in the referendum debate but instead registered themselves as part of the official No campaign. Allowing them to host No event and to provide financial backing to the No campaign.

Problem is, its not their money they are spending its their members- and some of the biggest in Scotland are not happy that their money is going to the No campaign and have left the CBI- the result is many of the largest parts of the CBI in Scotland are leaving the organisation.
So far the largest Care Home group and the the largest body representing Electricians and engineers have left and today Scotlands main broadcaster, STV, left too.

'a CBI spokesman said: "While any member deciding to leave is a cause for regret, the CBI is confident we have a mandate from the vast majority of our membership on the question of Scottish independence."'- BBC

Problem here is they did not in fact ballot or even ask their members for any opinion, there was no consultation, so they have got no mandate, they just decided to do it.

This is a risky gamble by the No side- they seem to be hoping that if the business lobby group comes out against i will hold weight in the scare factor.
But if the result is most of the major Scottish companies leave it then it will spectacularly backfire.

So why are they doing it? Well basically compared to the YES the NO campaign are skint. The YES side have been building up the war chest for this campaign for years, probably decades, the NO side haven't.
And if the CBI ( a largely London based enterprise) registers before the cut off time on the NO side they can provide those funds, that and they always invite Tory grandee to their annual dinner, and they cant do that this year if they have to be impartial- but like I say its a big gamble.

well the CBI is only concerned with big buisness and doesnt give a toss about its individual members. The two companies that have left probably didnt ask their members either. It depends on what the boss votes.

Possibly not- but they are not claiming they have 'a mandate' of their members which the CBI said it did. But they cant have a mandate if they never asked.

Its about the money- the NO campaign needed them to register No so they could get funding.

The polls continue to tighten-

'A landmark ICM survey for today’s Scotland on Sunday reveals a decline in the No vote from 46 per cent to 42 per cent over the past month.
When the 19 per cent “don’t knows” are excluded from the equation, the No vote stands at 52 per cent, with 48 per cent in favour of Scotland going it alone. '- Scotland on Sunday

Ditto Figgs ! Dung beetle ?? erh hurm ! I find quite a few guys attractive & NONE are the so called 'pretty boys' of a center fold. J.R Myers ? I find him a sleazy, lecherous, skinny runt. ( hes probably a lovely guy in real life   ) its the way hes presented his acting roles. and as a side note, I think Viggo's body ( it IS getting hot in here!) is just FINE, (swoon, melt,dribble) & in his interviews............that nice,quiet,laid back (if only!) way he has of speaking ! A voice can often work wonders you know   oh fook, console yourself with chocolate azriel !...... LOTS of chocolate  

Hey! I thought I had banned talk of Viggo that makes ladies go trembled knee'd and sweaty?

 When I called this the Freedom thread I did not envision it being about freeing Viggo from his undercrackers!!

These are indeed strange days. Stranger still, the postings of Petty number 26666. What doom does he bring out of the North?

I dont actually fancy Viggo though. dunno why not.   I prefer Elrond.  

After all that arguing !   I like Aragorn, cos he's got vitality, (hoo hoo yeah)  but Elronds voice,rich & resonate,  & Faramir's gentleness.( soon sort that one out  )

And I dont fancy any of them! (harldy any of them anyway, and only when Im really drunk   ) so to get this back on topic-

The head of the CBI has made a statment defending the decision to back the No campaign, see if yu can spot the trickly concealed contradiction -

'The head of the CBI has said the business organisation does not think the economic case for Scottish independence has been made.
However, John Cridland said the body was not seeking to influence how people voted in the referendum.'- BBC

The Head of the CBI also said-

'"I regret any CBI member leaving. That is a matter of considerable regret to me as chief executive. But I respect the fact that there are a variety of views."

But the head of one of the large business who have resigned said-

'the CBI took the decision without consulting its members. He has challenged the organisation to produce evidence that it has followed due democratic process.
"To maintain our neutrality we have to resign from the organisation."
He added: "They believe they have a mandate from the council of CBI Scotland but I have spoken to council members who cannot remember this being discussed or voted upon.
"I would actually challenge the CBI to produce minutes and evidence of the fact that they have gone through a democratic process to come to this decision.
"Businesses are now taking their time and reflecting on this decision, and when business is back to normal on Tuesday I'm sure we're going to see a number of other resignations from CBI Scotland."- BBC

So the mess continues.

Huzzah! A woman who finally admits Viggo doesn't really do it for her...I suspect we're seeing the beginnings of crowd-think disintegration here.  This is a red letter day.  Again, nothing against Viggo, who seems a pleasant enough bloke; I just don't understand where the wholesale frenzy and tossing of under-crackers has been coming from.
