Re: Happy Gondorian New Year!
The Faramir chapters are the only parts I'll go back specifically to re-read. Funny, because from an on-paper description of the character by all rights he should be a bore.

Book 4 and 6 are definitely more trudging and dreary, but I would guess a lot of that is down to Frodo and Sam's journey beeing trudging and dreary. That storyline does have it's moments though, the Faramir meeting prominent among them.
That's settled then. (With administorial blessing to boot. )

Re: Happy Gondorian New Year!
Well, on the fourth go-around, I finally didn't miss Waffle Day! Though I haven't done any Tolkien reading yet today. Might later, though I've got other stuff I've wanted to do but put off 'cause of work and grad school applications.
Re: Happy Gondorian New Year!
Oh man, didn't realize it was waffle day and no time to make up since I'm heading out.
