I don't have a problem with allowing business interests a seat at the negotiating table, but I think that if they are invited then other groups such as labor and environmental organizations should have the same access.
I guess my main concern is that when states are granting patents and then negotiating international treaties to protect them, we're basically talking about granting global monopolies in a world that has no mechanism equivalent to antitrust legislation to make sure it serves the public interest.
