Re: What now to look forward to?
Any chance of you getting a video of your Gangnam Style dance to post here or on Facebook?
And I can't wait to see your next illustration!
Yeah, one directed by Hayao Miyazaki and one directed by the co-founder of Ghibli, Isao Takahata (his first in like a decade). I can't wait.

Re: What now to look forward to?
Studio Ghibli is an anime movie studio that has made a lot of very popular movies over the years. My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away are probably their most famous movies outside of Japan.

Re: What now to look forward to?
I think I saw Spirited Away, is that the one with the flying house?

Well Norc, a couple weeks ago some friends of mine couldn't resist putting me in the spotlight:

Spirited Away is the one with the girl trapped in the amusement park for spooks and spirits.
Many of the Studio Ghibli films are warm hearted and stunningly beautiful. If you'd like to try one, I think you might like Porco Rosso. It's set in the Adriatic in the 1920's and it's like a gem.
Miyazaki's stories always have a girl with a pure heart and a sense of adventure at the center of the story, and none of the 'villains' are really bad at heart either.

The only Takahata film I have on my shelf is Grave of the Fireflies. When I first saw it was so beautifully told that I felt I needed to buy it, but it's so grim that I rarely watch it. It sits on the shelf beside "When the Wind Blows" which is equally human and grim look at nuclear war, but with a British voice. I think that having been born and raised in the middle of the Cold War, I'll always have a troubled love/hate relationship with these kinds of films.
Is Takahata still this heavy?

Re: What now to look forward to?
I've seen grave of the fireflies twice.. still the saddest movie I've ever seen.
