I have terrible sleep habits.  But I also don't have much reason to try to fix it right now, because I have back-to-back overnights at work this weekend.  Working from 9 PM - 6:30 AM on Saturday and 9 PM - 5:30 AM on Sunday.

But yes, I did sleep fall asleep last night at about 3:30 AM.  Why I then woke up at 9 AM I have no idea, since this is my day off.

Yeah, the whole sleep thing can be a bit troublesome. I'm always in a rhytm it seems, as in I wake up pretty much exactly the same time every day, but that doesn't help much if the rhytmn is bad..

Certainly don't envy you your working hours.

This is an exceptional case, thank god. It's the big store re-set for the Christmas season (though that's already begun, honestly).

I guess somebody has to hang around and prepare for the next day after all the customers have left...

Fortunately that rarely takes more than a half an hour after closing time (at my current store).

Very true Halfy. I rarely leave Queen Tins buckie cellar after a days work, sometimes Im there for hours afterwards

Then what do you do during the night shift? None of my business of course, I'm just curious what sort of mechanizations goes on while most of us are asleep.

The night shift only happens rarely, when they have to change a large number of displays and move a lot of product onto and of the sales floor at once. In this case bringing out Christmas product. Normally I find reasons of my own to stay up absurdly late.
