Holiday story's and snapshots

Can you believe i got mugged in the street by a bunch of 6 yr olds. Little bastards surrounded me waving their souvenirs in my face
meanwhile one of them unzipped my bumbag and knicked my money. No one got a tip from me after that
Then two days later we were at a restaurant had a good meal, plenty of Bingtan (local bucky) cocktails and the like, when BANG.
A freak storm just came from nowhere, everyone ran for there lives including me and the mrs, didn't forget to grab our drinks
but did forget to pay the bill. lol. Made up for the money that was stolen so i didn't feel guilty.

Anyone else got any good holiday story's ?

Well frankly thats what you get for visiting 'foreign parts' Chris. Stay at home safe in your barrel with local buckie- thats the knack to not getting robbed by unruly 6 year olds brought up on foreign morals (and dont visit Glasgow either).
Storms, thuggish children and buckie, you know I dont really need to go on holiday for any of that!

Yeah they look really scary! and I am talking about the tourists wearing SOCKS on the beach!

Odo will be pleased- he likes to see children making an honest days living cleaning chimneys, down mines or flogging tat on the beach to people who thought they had gone there for peace and quiet and beautiul sunsets, rather than muggings, child vendors and storms. I'm telling you, stay at home.

Looks beautiful- but thats just foreign parts way of beguiling you into a false sense of security!

I just want to lie in that warm Sea, on that white sandy beach, beautiful.

No scaffolding just bamboo.

Now you are just rubbing it in, sun sand sea, swimming pool, AND SHOPPING, stop it will you!

you can keep the bamboo though, it looks like you could get some nasty splinters.

No Health and Safety goons there I suspect!

It wasn't that long ago that I went off to foreign parts last. The lonely mountain to be exact!!

Took 4.5 days to get to the top and 1.5 to get down again. Went from over 35c to -15c between 2000m and just under 6000m.

I didnt quite get mugged on the border of 1 foreign part and another, however we did get a little molested by local people with their horrible, massacred ears and endless hoops around their necks (they called themselves Masai) trying to sell us rubbish wooden Girraffes and stuff. Saw the real thing and could get that junk from the local market!

I purposefully kept my money knowing full well that I could not exchange or use it without going back there. Could have given it to them but didn't want to encourage the behaviour!!!

Now I have a horde in my hobbithole that could let me live like a king in some parts.... not in Essex though!

How was the glacier doing?

It looked big, but seeing the current pictures against those even 20 years ago... it is substantially less!

Just out of rainy season though so the path from Gilman's to Uhuru was covered in ice (which in the dark was dangerous as we didnt know we would end up off a cliff in to the crater if we slipped!)

Stunning Chris- its so easy to look to ancient cultures- the Pyramids ect and be amazed and yet our modern building achievements are simply awesome.
