Did we ever learn if Smaug was pronounced sm-org or sm-awg ?

I think the au sounds like the au in Sauron, despite that Sauron is Elvish and Smaug isn't even Smaug's real name.

I was actually thinking of another interview where he first says smawg and then corrects himself, but yes, that's the way to pronounce Smaug
