Taking a shorter route,

Bevving aww the day.
Oot oor fucking mind
Writing oor names in snow
Until the buckie makes us blind
Then picking a pished square go!

Tae be pished an oan the lash.

No doubt the cats will do the arranging for you.

Re: Merry Christmas! (2018)
The 1st volume has Book of lost tales 1 & 2, The lays of Beleriand, The shaping of middle earth & The lost Road & other writings.
The 2nd volume has The Return of the shadow, The treason of Isengard, The war of the ring, Sauron defeated.
The 3rd volume has Morgoths Ring, the war of the jewels & The people of middle Earth.
Only contains one or two illustrations & they are of maps. Plenty to read that's for sure !

Re: Merry Christmas! (2018)
Wow Az that's enough to keep you going for a while!
I would be jealous were it not for the fact that I already own all those books myself!
I've had the 3 volume set of the HOME for several years now...and I think I've still got a few bits still to read.
The Companion and Guide is an amazingly detailed and fascinating resource packed with kinds of info and analysis on the books and the great man himself
Might get my set out again for a bit of light bedtime reading
