put words here that you feel are unique for forumshire, give them a proper description and yeah, Eldo will do some magic Smile

i started with this
Fettlørv (fett-lørv):
Fett: could mean different things, such as fat and cool, but in this relation it is a derivation from the word fette/fitte meaning cunt (a really foul word for it).
lørv: is a bit harder to translate as it is a very specific word. If i say a piece of clothing is lørvat it means it is very torn and raggedy and with lots of holes and it is filthy. a lørv is also a piece of cloth you have in the kitchen that you up spills with. it is again very dirty and it is something that is never very presentable. Just imagine the grossest piece of cloth you have in the kitchen. the cloth has been used until it is totally ruined and unrecognisable.

now imagine road-kill that looks like a lørv and put that in the connection of the vagina. there you go.

Sjarkhora:
sjark: small fishing boat, smells of fish
hora: hore/slut

Gorrhysa:
Gorr: probably means the same as the english word gore. we use it to emphatize when something is really disgusting. like when you remove the intestines of a fish and it shits on you.
hysa: haddock (it's a fish). the fish could be a metaphor for different genitalia.

now someone explain norcing, bucky and encryption brackets.

We may want to take a look at the Forumotion.com guidelines and consider rephrasing the above if this is to be a official newbie/reminder guide. Just sayin'... Wink

Norcing [nawr-king]
The art of derailing the topic of a thread into something completely unrelated for at least two - preferably five or more - whole pages before anyone notices they have wandered off-topic. Must not be confused with trolling. A norcer loves what he/she talk and norcs about.

i think you should add that to several pages and that the topic it is being norced to is very far from what it originally was, and that no one notices until someone points it out. also that the topic in ended up as is a topic very near the norcer's heart.

Yeah, it's not accurate enough. I want to replace it with phonetics, this was just quickly altered from an dictionary entry of 'dork'. I don't ( and didn't) have much time.

Buckie- Forumshire version of Buckfast Tonic Wine. The Forumshire variety is brewed by the Buckie Wizards under Royal Charter from Queen Tinuviel.
Forumshire buckie in addition to a high alcohol and caffeine count also contains 0.00001% miruvor.
A unique rasberry flavoured version is brewed exclusively for Queen Tinuviel.
Forumshires buckie reserves are kept in the Royal Cellars in Valinor and watched over by the Queens Keeper of the Buckie.
It is also served under license at the Duck n' Muck pub in Needlehole.
Buckie is a major sponsor of Foumshire events such as the Annual Awards Night.

Crabbit- a state of enlightened unhappiness at the world in general and everything in it specifically, voiced in a repeated complaining mantra. Popular amongst Scotshobbit scholars and alcoholics.
Many Scotshobbits universities offer courses in a variety of crabbit fields including crabbit mathmatics and crabbit biology. Scotshobbits inventiveness is thought to be due to their crabbitness and so Boffins study and try to predicate crabbit levels by means of a crabbit meter, which detects any build up in crabbit levels nationwide and acts as an early warning system in the event of major crabbit meltdowns and explosions.

Duckie- an alcoholic avian based drink from Ozhobbit Land. Believed to originate in the Furthest Out Back where its ridiculous appearance can go unnoticed.
The knack to drinking duckie is in knowing how to correctly squeeze one, and where.
This task is made more difficult by a side effect of drinking duckie- an inability to remember what a duckie looks like. Making each subsequent drink more surprising, and potentially more dangerous, than the last.
Duckie is served in the Duck n' Muck in Needlehole from its very own fresh supply of duckies, which are kept in their natural habit, muck. And which lends the pub its name.

Fjordianlandian -- not Fjordlandia btw. study  Named after the great Fjordian Pychoanalyst Sigmund Fjord who was abit queer like the rest of them. No one remembers the original name now though, prefering the more mundane Fjordlandia. Rolling Eyes

With posts like that who could ever think Forumshire can ever fade. This is the only Forum that is actually a real universe with it's own history in the imagination, kinda like the Bible or the Koran, except more fun, and far more humane. .Laughing

Encryption Brackets- A Forumshire means of secret communication. Any message placed within encryption brackets- {{{...}}} can only be read by the intended recipient. The more brackets a message has surrounding it the more secure is the message contained within. This is necessary as some members have the ability to break encrypted messages, most notably Queen Tinuviel using her Royal prerogative, and Mrs Figg who has a trained encryption breaking eel.
Whilst messages placed within encryption brackets are secret there presence on a thread is often given away by the peppermint odour they produce.

No, don't think I had, though I did look it up when you mentioned it. Wink

A phrase one needs to be a bit careful of then. Perhaps one should put something like, "Pop culture reference, meaning ambiguous."

Perhaps.. "apply with caution." Razz
