Ah Joe Biden. In a pocket universe, I'd love to see him and Trump run against each other. But seeing as this is the real world KEEP BOTH AWAY FROM THE WHITE HOUSE

Thank goodness you survived the buckie, Your Maj! We were getting a little worried.

Our Maj seems to be being very quiet on her buckie exploits

Seeing that I probably won't get to 7000, 6100 seems as good an occasion as any to excavate this thread.

Once we finally leave/cancel Brexit/implode entirely as a country I reckon I could easily get up to 5000 maybe even 6, thoroughly bored/embarrassed by the whole endeavor at this point, but I remain no less pissed off by how those idiots are handling it.

Re: Countdown to Bungo's 1000th Post!
I'm finding the whole Brexit problem a complete arse crawling, cringe making episode. Ask for more pay for doctors, nurses & care workers & its "tough luck", ask for any help in this country & its "tough luck" yet, the minute our Euro 'friends' snap their fingers & its "yes sir, no sir, three bloody big bags full sir"

Re: Countdown to Bungo's 1000th Post!
It was a bad idea for the get go. The prize paid to Europe is actually nothing, it is merely what the UK had committed to pay before the decision to leave.
I think two things about brexit in hindsight. It is perfectly legitimate to want to leave the political project of the EU. It is a step back on integration, pluralism and to value of the european project, a shared democratic, pluralistic political culture based on human rights and the rule of law, but it is also legitimate to not want to be part of the political arm of the European project if you don't feel connected to it. On the other hand, I think leaving the internal market is complete madness. The UK is part of Europe whatever it might like to pretend. And without maintaining the same internal market access the UK will suffer badly from brexit. A middle solution like the EEA was therefore a viable idea, but the hard brexit, anti-freedom of movement line is still the damaging nonsense it has been since day one.

Wait.. are you saying I'm vice-presidentmayor?
Also I'm reminded of my vice-
I feel I've not been upholding my office. From now on I'll be in full vice-
Got to uphold the sacrosancticity of the office.
