I was going to reply "alright-oh all night-oh", since I was listening to your songs the other day. But thought perhaps it could be slightly misinterpreted.

Ah, yeah. And it's not like we need any more votes.
Or do we?
I guess Petty is the only one who knows.
Or do we?

Re: The Bandersnatchers - Live
Certainly a bit of a nostalgia trip listening back to that song. Worst thing is, it's not half bad.
Perhaps I could have done a bit of a better job of recording it, but.. ah, well.. what can you do.

I have no idea, but then again it's almost time for the next round of voting.
I was fun to revisit the songs, put a big grin on my face.

The Bandersnatchers - live (part 6)
Start from the beginning
Part 5
By the time the sun was high in the sky, the hoard of people had began to split in two. Melody, Nora, Dora and Tora had decided to go to the stage area and get a good location by the stage. Other still stood by waiting by the wall, hoping to see the boys walking past them.
It was dress up time for the Bandersnatchers once the carts had come through. Ty's hair-curlers came out and his bright red curls was sprayed and coated with various substances to keep them bouncy and shiny. The process made him dizzy, but there was little use in complaining.
“Marsq ichtoc magroglog!”
“Yeah, and then some!” Lance would have nodded as well to accentuate his agreement, but he was seated next to Ty, having his long locks ironed flat and treated with a similar concoction to keep it that way. His eyes watered from the heat and fumes, but of course nobody could see that. And sadly, he had realized a long time ago, nobody really cared.
Ringo laughed, but it had little do do with the conversation. His painted on shirt of the day had an intricate pattern and the brush kept tickling him.
Blue was mentally going through every piece of lyrics and move, hating every part even more each time. Orwell was going over the same words and moves, loving each and everyone of them.
Odo inspected the final result and gave a short nod to the team.
“You may leave,” he grumbled regally. The curlers and flatteners and painters and clippers and cutters and colour coordinators and fabric specialists bowed their heads and scurried away to pack their things and prepare for transport.
A unison sigh escaped the five freshly groomed entertainers. Odo's left eyebrow rose, approving of the exact timing while his right one dropped into a frown, disapproving of the sigh. Aided by the crew and supervised by Odo, the young men crept into the wheel barrows and carts, making sure not to crumple or uncurl anything that was meant to stay uncrumpled and curled. It was a bumpy ride. They bit down on small whimpers and squaks of pain that wished to escape them. Facing the hoard of fans outside the coarse fabric would only lead to broken bones and Eru knows what else. If was far too risky. Instead they let the crew take them straight through the crowd and to the back of the stage, or rather under it. A small burrow in the hill gave them a place to stay before they were to appear on stage from seemingly nowhere, people loved that it seemed.
Ty and Lance mumbled quietly. Ringo shivered in the damp air, despite the painter kindly taking pity and giving him two coats of primer. Blue glared at Orwell and mentally repeated the Dark Planet regulations for paper clip management. The clear language and well chosen lettering of legal documents never failed to sooth his inner turmoil, and no-one excelled in this field of art like the Dark Planet. Now there was poetry and meaning. There, there were no alright-oh. Then, the doors opened. Light flooded down to them. With perfectly timed steps and their heads held high they stepped out on the stage. A wave of excited screams washed over them, encircled them.
Ty's flame-red curls bounced, giving their signal. Time to dazzle. One, two, a-one, two, three, four!

Keep that water bottle away from the stage and then we'll see.

You're my inspiration. You and Justin Bieber. Bet you've always wanted to be mentioned in the same breath as him.

The Bandersnatchers - live (part 7)
Start from the beginning
Part 6
The screams were deafening, a field of raised hands stretched up and towards them them like corn - not mais, obviously – moved by the wind. The crowd sang along with the songs and seemed to have a real good time. Orwell Ozman was truly enjoying himself. He loved the attention so much that he held his parts too long, dragged out his solo parts at the expense of the others. Lance was torn, Orwell was not following Ty's beat and he didn't know which rythm to follow. This may be Orwell's lyrics, but it was Lance's music and this was not what they had agreed upon. Orwell added crescendos and held notes where he shouldn't. Lance's eyes where wide and filled with desperation, but of course, nobody could see that.
Blue was not impressed. As lead singer he was indeed meant to lead, it was there in the title and in the contract and now Orwell was trying to take over. Not only was is rude, it showed a deep disrespect of rules and laws, and that was too much too take. Blue was a Bellowsblower and by Eru, it was time he showed what that meant. The crowd gasped and three girls fainted as Blue delivered the final notes of “Letter to the miller's daughter” in his trademark falsetto with such force that it was said to have caused a goat stampede in the next Farthing. Ringo lost his flute, perplexed by the whole thing. It rolled towards the edge of the stage and he hurried after it and caught it just in time. But he himself had come too close to the edge. Fingers sharp as claws dug into him grasping for his shirt, but instead piercing skin and paint with ease. He screamed and fled to the back of the stage and down the stairs again. There he stood, clutching his side with tears rolling down his cheeks.
Odo McDodo's face turned a lethal shade of red and the remaining Bandersnatchers stumbled into to the next part of the show without Ringo and his great flute skills. Even Orwell toned it down after that, the next two acts were nearly flawless as they did everything as rehearsed, but with one man down.
Two song later and Ringo returned. His bandages had a coat of fresh paint and the man himself was white as a sheet. They were now at the part in the show where Ty would tear off his shirt in a very manly manner. This was the only part in the show where Ty was allowed to speak. He growled out his frustrations as only a McPetty could, in thick Scothobbit dialect and with a lot of noise. Lance gritted his teeth in agreement and that was quite visible for his fellow Bandersnatchers. They could guess what it was about, even if Ty's words meant nothing to the rest of them.
By Aulë's abs, that young man was rather quite hairy! And a wee bit scary. Aunt Melody squawked and fanned herself with her hand. She had given up trying to shield the girls' eyes, all the dancing and bending and gyrating was too much for one auntie to cover up. It may not be her type of music, but she was rather enjoying herself and Nora, Dora and Tora were having a splendid time.
On stage a quick drink of water was passed round. Lance and Ty were first and then swiftly moved onto a instrumental piece with soulful moans and a heavy beat.
Ringo shivered as the cool liquid passed through his lips and travelled down his throat to his stomach. His skin pebbled and the cup fell out of his quivering hands. I rolled towards the edge not unlike the way the flute had and he took a step back in dread. Blue hesitated. Water on the stage was dangerous. It said so in the manuals. The shirt. Yes, that could work. He quickly grabbed Ty's ripped shirt and wiped up the spillage. He was quick, but those hobbitgirls on the first row had surprisingly long fingers. The shirt was ripped out of his hands and torn to shreds and threads in seconds. He stumbled back. Further and further, but Ringo grabbed his arm. “He's blocked the exit. Odo has blocked the exit!”
“Breach of contract!” Blue hissed. “Breach. Of. Contract.”
Ringo nodded vigorously. Lance and Ty were moving over into the next song. It was “Alright oh”, Orwell's pride and joy and Blue let him step in front of them and sing his heart out. He needed a minute to think. Just a minute. That's all.

Re: The Bandersnatchers - Live
Talk about lots of scuttlebut and misleading characterisations of both respectable Forumshirans and the one's who aren't. NB I've never heard anything favourable said about Bandersnatchers - not polite favourable things anyhow.

The Bandersnatchers - live (part 8) (this a very short one... sorry....)
Start from the beginning
Part 7
It took the entire “Alright oh” and a soul-full performance of “Seed cake lullby” before Blue felt he had the outline of a plan in order. Ringo was shivering, which was transferred to his flute playing. Blue made the call to move Ringo from the end of the formation to the centre, hoping this would provide him with a fraction of warmth and a more controlled vibrato. But this left Lance next to Orwell and there was only so much of Orwell's antics Lance could stand. There should not be any doubt of the rhythm, as Ty was already beating the drums so hard as they could handle, accompanied by long strains of age old Scothobbit swears were muttered in a low, menacing tone. Beads of sweat started forming under Blue's perfectly moulded hair. They still had “She was only 32” and “Let's start a new branch on the family tree” left, but the end was near.

Wasn't somewhere, sometime, someone saying she was going to write more of this gay little tale? I guess someone meant sooner or later, with the emphasis on 'later' I suppose.

Re: The Bandersnatchers - Live
This will teach you for being a working mother and ruler of both a Planet and A Shire! I imagine it doesn't leave much time in the day for much else. Me, my Missus says I have too much time on my hands (as she rushes on to the next thing on her itinerary. )

We can't all be as prolific as Ol' Anon, I'm afraid. Though I wonder if having such a large family to help makes him more or less efficient.
Re: The Bandersnatchers - Live
Yes, some of us have jobs and some of us have a hard working woman to look after us! Thank Eru I have have supported Women's Lib all these years, in spite of my Missus's recent misgivings.
