The 2013 Forumshire Awards - Page 4 Empty Re: The 2013 Forumshire Awards

Post by Ringdrotten Tue Nov 12, 2013 10:43 pm

I got an idea for a new category while watching Ken Burns' documentary about America's national parks. We've grown very fond of the "Tales of Home" thread - what if he had a category related to that one? We could make a thread in which each of us enter a picture from the area where they live, and vote for whichever we like the best (in this category we should perhaps not be able to vote on our own entry Wink ). Would be a nice way for everyone to show what they like about the places where they live, and even after the awards for this year are over we'd have a thread with a lot of nice pictures to go back to whenever we felt like it, and it would also add something new to the awards. Just an idea I thought I'd share and see if people liked Smile

Good idea Ringdrotten. Nod

Maybe just not be allowed to vote for a pic you submit yourself, Norc?

I should have been more specific - perhaps it would be a good idea not to be able to vote on our own area/entry. Voting on pictures from the same country should be allowed, I think, seeing as many of us come from the same countries Smile

Glad you guys like the idea, by the way. We could start an entry thread when the awards are nearing, and set a date by which people have to have posted their entries, and then we can have the vote open for as long as it takes for everyone who wants to be able to vote.

I think the award should be renamed as "More Crabbit than the General Community" because I feel like everyone is crabbit this year.

I bloody well did.  Look in the complaints thread.  You even responded to my complaint, in fact it may have been an contributing factor to your aborted trial.

Well, thank you everyoone. I felt I had to go on a bit to get there, even semi-norcing the "Hobbit Pictures"-thread. It's not the largest of achievments, but got there in the end!

Now, only 22000 more posts to catch up to Petty.
