Other quality sci-fi.

Just watched your episode Bungo. I have watched a few of them before I think and quite often there is no explanation for what is happening... you kinda get left hanging. Interesting episode... I wonder if there were more people that went on the Apollo missions then....?

Was also going to watch the Buffy one Figgs.... but it was just a 2 min clip.

Right so, just to be clear- one scifi episode (not film?) and then shot- and no buckie?   (making it tricky as I've never watched anything sober!)

But, really, no buckie? Not even 1 barrel?   How am I meant to make an informed choice if I'm not drunk!!

I like that there is no explanation. Some big omnipotent who-knows-what snatching these three poor men out of existence. Terrifying.   

It was a quite like 'the outer limits' (or that was like this) in that stories were sometimes unexplained and you just had to make up your own version of it.

Thanks Petty, I will watch that one from Figgy when I get the chance. Still not decided on yours yet?

Watched the first episode of the new Constantine tv series.
Based on the comic and better than the Keanu Reeves film.

Story was nothing special for this type of demon/angel affair but they got the main character pretty spot on, except for his smoking- he pretty much chain smokes in the comic but in this you see him in one shot stubbing out a cigarette, you never even actually see him smoke.
And plus points to keeping him english and from the right area, the north of the England, but minus points for only setting the opening in England before moving the whole thing to the US for the remainder of the series.   

- warning its not so much a trailer as a summary of the opening episode.

Main concern for it is substance- the comic, particularly when it was at its height and being written by Grant Morrison was a reaction to Thatcherism and social and political sub text was through out it.
The tv series doesn't seem to have anything else to say but to tell the main surface story about an occult specialist who fights demons, literal and his own.
I'm not sure that will be enough to sustain it in a market with plenty of other angel/demon type scenarios.

I reckon this is going to be a great film.
