I haven't tried to stop it myself, but this site has some ideas:
http://daringfireball.net/2010/05/tynt_copy_paste_jerks
Otherwise, just double-check what actually got pasted before you click submit, and delete the extraneous text.

I don't understand what the end result is, do you have to have this extra app? it just explains the problem it doesn't seem to give answers.

Re: Where in the world is Forumshire?
They recommend this Chrome extension, but like I said, I haven't tried it myself.

Fake edit: I just stumbled across the opt out page on the website of the company that initially developed this idea, and it worked for me just now.

Re: Where in the world is Forumshire?
so you just press the opt out button and that's it. but that's just for tynt clients, for normal websites how do you get rid of the url thing, stuff seems to have embedded links.

Actually, I just realized we don't have any Kiwis! Is that because of all the PJ bashing we do here?

Do you have a count by nation on that map, Eldo? I just realized I logged in from Egypt and possibly Tanzania, and well...there they are.

Since I started using Google Analytics in August 2012, we have had 41 visits from Egypt and six from Tanzania.

I'm relieved. Not just me then. But keep an eye on that pesky Lance.
