Petty, thankyou for that,but, Ive got a 10yr old laptop,thats still happily plodding along, Im using XP, which no-one else does, but I like it. I dont have enough ram sadly. I use FireSquirrel,(as my son calls firefox! lol) Il have to look into the guts of this wonderful machine, (I have to say that to keep it sweet so it dont conk out on me!!) better keep going till I can afford another laptop

No probs Azriel. It would prob still run ok on your laptop- just take a very long time to render a picture.

I was going to rerender the train pic with the brighter station, but kind of got distracted by clouds and ended up with this instead-

Um, only if I really, really stretch a point. Or to be more honest no.

You see I neeeded some lights for the Forumshire vid and decided to try out the trainmodel and do a shot I could practise using light sources in, as I havent used them often before.
Then I though Id add a station. Then when I went back to tweak things I did some mucking about with the sky and somehow ended up with the lighthouse pic above.
Then I thouhgt I'd change the angle and try a different format and focus on the sky.
And then I thought I wonder what that sort of sky, but with more mist and haze and snow would be like- and I am currenty rendering that.

So its connected to the forumshire vid by a very tenous line (or excuse).
Sadly I always work like this, which is why it takes me so long to finish something- but I do propduce a lot of 'accidental' stuff like these pics along the way.

Thanks Azriel. Glad you like the snow one- that was 9 hours because of 2 crashes to render! Makes it worth the hassle if someone enjoys it though.

cool, is it for the forumshire video? we are still waiting you know. is it ffyordlandia? I wish i could have a Svalfart bit, hint hint, maybe with crazed carrots running around town hint hint.

Look its bloody complicated enough without adding animated, dancing carrots you know!
And the final render time is going to reduce me to the consistency of one of Odo's jelly's when I see it. And make my pc useless for pretty much anything else for at lest a week.

But right now my Forumshire priority is the awards ceremony- more on which on that thread later. Meanwhile, these pictures are what I do for light relief!
