its not looking good for him, they seem to be going for guilty before proven guilty or innocent, its very worrying for justice. He might be guilty but they shouldn't cancel his shows or assume guilt until it has gone to trial imo. Either way his reputation is trashed. But what if it was all fake allegations?
BAFTA was in a real bad situation, it was only rumour at that point.

{{ I wish these situations were a bit fairer. In an ideal world he would quietyly drop out of projects until a trial, insituitions like BAFTA would if pushed only say "We will await the outcome of the justice process." And the pres be prohibted to report onit unitl the trail is over. Then if cleared he returns to work as normal, if guilty then they can start condemenming or distancing themselves or taking back awards and the pres cna go to twon on him for lurid tabloid details.
Sadly though everything is done preemptively and thats not fair if accusations are false. }}

I agree, regardless of what ultimately happens his reputation is trashed and he hasn't had chance to defend himself. it sets a worrying precedence because it could happen to an innocent person as well. Our legal system is based on innocence until proven guilty. Not trial by media. Also this has all been mixed up with a frankly toxic diversity element, with lots of idiot people saying, 'well he might be black but he is a pervert', as if being black has anything to do with it, and people going on about diversity quotas, when surely he has been employed on his talent alone? I thought we lived in a meritocracy?

{{ Well to no ones suprise the Tories have got off with their sleaze.
First the PM- he stood acuused of using tory donor money to pay for refurbishments to his flat and not declaring them.

So what did the enquiry find?

'Lord Geidt, the PM's adviser on standards, said a Tory donor had paid an invoice for some of the costs.
The works on the flat, overseen by the PM's fiancée Carrie Symonds, are thought to have cost around £90,000.
The report did not say how much former Conservative vice-chairman Lord Brownlow had put up to fund the refurbishment, but a figure of £58,000 has been widely reported.'

So plain and simple- guilty as charged.
But no, this enquiry let Boris off. Why?

'Lord Geidt found "no evidence" that Lord Brownlow had told Mr Johnson "he had personally settled" costs.'

So the claim is someone paid 58,000 pounds out of a 90,000 pound cost, but Boris didnt know it had happened. Which either says these pepole have so much money someone paying more than half your expensive flat reburshment doesnt even register, or its a simple lie, as how could you not know someone else was paying mre than half the tab?

But bear this excuse in mind because we turn to Hancock now, the Heath Secretray.
He stood accused of having awarded a large covid related contract to a company he had 50,000 in shares invested in.
Again he did indeed have those shares, and he indeed awarded the company the contract. But again he has been let off on it. Why?

'Lord Geidt concluded that Mr Hancock's "earlier failure to declare the interest was as a result of his lack of knowledge and in no way deliberate, and therefore, in technical terms, a minor breach of the ministerial code".'

So once again the cliam is the Health Minister didnt realise he had all those shares in the company he just gave a whopping great contract to. But what makes this one even more incredolous even than the Boris excuse, the Health Sec's own sister and brother and law own and run the company! You couldnt make this up.
So now we are expected to believe Hancock not only did not realise the company was same one he had shares in, but that he didnt know it was his own sister who ran it!

To call these 'enquiries' a whitewash is an understatement. }}

{{ Well the Health Sec Matt Hancock has resigned, even after Cummings leaked text exchnages from Boris during the pandemic when he called Hancock "fucking hopeless", even after those same texts revealed Hancock mishandled ppe so badly even Boris was going to give the job to someone else to do he stuck around and that Hancock lied about testing hospital patients sent to care homes leading to thousands of unnecessary deaths of the most vulnerable and staff put in danger. But the Sun newspapers revelation that he has been having an affair and very hands on with a woman he hired to do 20 days 'work' a year at 15,000 of tax payer money at the height of the pandemic when he had told everyone else they couldnt so much as go see, let alone even hug a loved one, or be with dying relatives, or see a partner you didnt live with has finally done for him. Not that Boris was going to sack him, no serial adulterer and father of unknown number of bastards Boris was sticking by him, and is sorry he has resigned.
But it was obvious to everyone but Boris, even to Hancock eventually, that his hypocrisy was untenable. And so this sleaze ridden, lying Tory government continues on and Boris somehow remains as popular as ever in England.

Only good thing to come out of this is are the memes- heres a selection of my favourites - }}

That is not the real story though. Hancock might very well have been the complete incompetent, and corrupt to boot [not that anyone in that government can throw stones *cough* *cough*], but how did anyone, never mind the Sun get their hands on surveillance footage from a government building. That stinks to hell and high water. Someone wanted Hancock out of the way, whatever it took.

What did for Handcock was not the 170,000 dead, or cheating on his wife, or gross hypocrisy. or giving Gina a paid job in the government, or that she was being paid to shag Handcock, it was his emails that did it. The fact he used private emails for government business, and when the contents of those emails are revealed it will 'blow the bloody doors off'.

{{ Blue- whats really interesting is its highly unusual, if not unknown, for there to even be surveillance cameras inside Ministers personal offices. Did Hancock even know it was there? If he did you'd think he try not to fondle the woman he was having an affair with right in front of it. If he didnt then who put the camera there? Though as he is a sleazy Tory there has to be the possibility he put it there and did stuff delibretely in front of it for his own pleasures.
As to how it leaked? The government are having a leak inquiry but....}}

{{ There are a few possibilities I reckon Figg. I dont think it can be a coincedence that when Cummings went before the committee he did not in fact really go after Boris as all expected, rather he went heavily for Hancock and unexpecedtly, Carrie, Boris's new wife.
Now Hancock is gone.
And when Khan got appointed the new health minister the papers and news were already reporting that this was actually her decision, and there has been a steady and persitant stream of stroies in the background for a while they she is really calling the shots and effectively running the Cabinet and country, onto which fire Cummings poured plenty fuel.

The question is if Cummings orchestrated this how did he get someone to record and leak the footage? It would need to be someone very high up in either the civil service or government. I think we can rule out the Cabinet, Boris long ago purged it of disenting voice and no one is a likely ally for Cummings.
And the civil service may orchestrate but they dont usually get their hands this dirty.

But its either Cummmings with inside help.
Or someone has something on Cummings and his part was to prep the downfalls by starting the ball rolling with his leaks and exposes and explains why he went after Hancock and Carrie rather than Boris. But I cant imagine anyone in the Cabinet having anything over Cuimmings either.
For all Cummings faults he doesnt seem dishonest in the way politicians usually are, cronism and bribes and the like, his judgement may be flawed at times but it seems honest within its own bounds. Which leaves the only other folk who probably could use Cummings, or at least persuade him to play ball and what to release, the secret service.
They would also have to be involved anyway if a minister was being sureptiously recorded. And an anonomyous whistleblower is easy to conjure up.

Of course that leaves motive, why would the secret service want rid of these two? I think the Health Sec in that instance would just be first dominoe, paving the way to getting rid of the main target easier, and he is close ally of the main target and was oneof those sheis said to have been instrumental in appointing- Carrie. If Cummings evidence was setting up who is about to fall, then she is next.
And if she really were say running the country, unelected, from behind the scenes someone in the secret serivce might not like that and see it as a threat to parliamentary democracy and cabinet responsibility.

Just a speculative thought. }}

Cummings has definitely got his hands dirty with cronyism as he was 'mates' with people who got contracts so he isn't any different to the rest of the Tories. Or more honest. That's why the Good Law Project had him in their sights. It is odd that he has it in for Princess Nut Nuts though. Probably just revenge for her part in getting rid of him.

{{He is different in attitude and type of corruption, not having that Eton elite ruling class mentality. He's still a dodgy bugger and couldnt disagree more with his policies and decisions, but its not the sort of corruption we know the rest of them are eye-ball deep in their whole priviliged lives.
Plus I dont see anyone in cabinet having anything on Cummings that he wouldnt likewise have loads on them- so stalemate.
So if Cummings is just the delivery method for someone else its got to be someone more influential than a Cabinet Minister- and that only leaves PM, Deputy PM, Cabinet Secretary or some element within one of the secret service. And given someone seems to have been recording him the latter has to be in the frame I think.

'It is odd that he has it in for Princess Nut Nuts though.'- Figg

Not if she is the real target of this.

'Sounds like a John le Carre plot line to me'- Dave

Where do you think he gets his plotlines from- our government! Mad }}

What if its Murdoch and Gove behind it? Shocked this is because Cummings and Gove are mates and fellow plotters. Its very funny that The Sun newspaper had this scoop, considering the links with Murdoch. I think its a stitch up between the 3 of them. They want rid of Johnson and the first one to go is his human shield Handcock. The second human shield protecting Johnson is Princess Nut Nuts.
