Google ads
So we have a new domain name and everything, and I'm very grateful to everyone who donated, but we actually have some Forumotion credits left over. There isn't a ton that we can do with it, but one thing that jumps out at me is that we can disable the Google ads that show up on every page. We have enough credits to either disable ads for logged-in members for one year, or to disable them for everyone who looks at the site for six months. In the spirit of democracy, which (if either) option do you think we should go with?
Re: Google ads
There's another forum that I visit from time to time that has disabled the google ads, it looks much better (and the google ads will ruin Baingils new layout too!) I'm in favour of removing them. Once I can afford it (I really am broke beyond broke at the moment), I'll send money for domain renewals and to remove google ads if we agree to do that too.

Re: Google ads
had to think for a minute about what you meant. i have firefox with the ad blocker addon and so no longer get them, but if we are trying to attract new members getting id of them is a good idea. (would also be nice for those of you they are still annoying too! )

Re: Google ads
Thanks to another generous donation we now have enough that we can get of ads for everyone for 12 months, so the question of which option to spend money on is a moot point. Between the domain name and the ads we should be good for a year, when they will have to be paid for again. Thank you again to everyone who has helped make this possible!

Looks great without the ads. Just saying.

Re: Google ads
It does And the ads would have ruined the new layout too.

Re: Google ads
See my Art of Survivaling video series, Bungo! (Pending - of course. )
Hey! How observant Petty! It's a pond (pending). I hope to grow Sacred Lotus in it (and fish). It will be the centre piece of my Minimalist Garden (or Survivalist Garden, if you like). A place to sit and meditate as the Lotus Flowers (pending) pop open at dawn. BTW you can eat Sacred Lotus tubers -- or was that rhizomes maybe? One can eat flowers and seeds too! A plant for both Body and Soul. .
