So happy birthday everybody!! This round of Buckie is on me!

Wow, 5 years of Forumshire! (and that's just the current incarnation).    It's brought me much solace and procrastination.

It could be a new brand, but it doesn't taste peppermint... I've sent Hugin and Munin's distant cousins, Huggin and Muggin in hopes of finding out what is going on.

Birthday hugs, Forumshire!

Exactly five years (and about 15 hours) ago, I was lying in my dorm bed at school. It was about 3:00 am, I was in PJs and had a blanket with the school name and logo on it over me, and my crappy little HP laptop (which came with Windows Vista, though I'd jumped ship for Ubuntu a year before) propped up on my knees. On the other side of the room, beneath the window, my roommate was asleep on his side and facing away from me. And it was at that moment that with the final click of a button and a brief pause as all the information I'd entered went through and was then output, that Forumshire popped into existence.

Y'all know the rest of the story, but I just wanted to say that this day has been a special one for me ever since, so thank you Amarië for making a thread to mark it.

Thats a lovely memory to live with Eldo.

Thank Eldo. I think it's a fine excuse for having a party! I recon Dark Planet Day is more of a memorial day by now anyways. Hurrah for Creation Day!
