The first 100 days
I just happened to be glancing at the forum statistics and I noticed that we've been in our new home for exactly 100 days so far. I still miss all the posts and members we lost in the Dark Planet disaster but I sometimes feel that the move has brought those of us still here closer together, which I consider to be a good thing. Plus, we've seen some awesome new faces.
Thanks for keeping our community alive despite the disaster and for continuing to stick with this site!

It will soon be our 111th day! Maybe we should throw a party and invite half the Forumshire (the rest will turn up anyway!)?

Re: The first 100 days
I was just saying in another thread that it's been too long since we've had a party. I like this idea!

Re: The first 100 days
Hmm, this might be as good a time as any to tell, I guess! I'm going away around the 24th-26th of June, and it is possible that I will be gone for three weeks or so. It is also very likely that I'll come back within a few days, so I might make the picnic yet. I won't say where I'm going or what I'll be doing for now, though, just thought I'd mention it now you're planning a picnic and all

Re: The first 100 days
Mmm I imagine some strange Norwegan summer ritual! Horns, fires, longboats, three weeks of pillaging and quaffing under starlit skies.

Re: The first 100 days
I'll be out of town in the middle of July (the family is going to Seattle) and again some time in August but aside from that I should be here all Summer, though there will probably be busy stretches.
Re: The first 100 days
Seattle? Is that a colony of some sort?

No, though that's a good idea, perhaps, since the place has constant rain.

What rain? a shower on Saturday, one yesterday and one today, none lasting more than 5 minutes and the ground is cracked, plants gasping for water
Be careful or we'll get a proper british summer and then you'll know what rain is!
