It says current date/time is Sat Nov 8, 2014 1:03 am.

But it is Fri Nov 7, 2014 11:04 pm.

It's screwing with all the post times for me.

What do?

A bunch of people had a similar issue with their chosen time zone getting messed up. I don't know if that was the case for you here, but I'm glad you got it figured out. Smile

My time zone was changed against my will. Maybe it had something to do with daylight savings?

I think it was a glitch in the forum software. My time zone jumped to like Bermuda time or something, and the forum went from being pegged to GMT to Edmonton, Alberta.

I just looked down and tears started. It says 911. I remember I was at home and Clayton came upstairs to go to work and he had the wildest frightened look on his face, he told me the trade centre had just been hit by a plane. I said well just go to work, it will sort itself out. I went downstairs and there was the second plane and I could not breathe. I knew what was happening. And there were people, holding hands and you could see them as little ants, jumping out of the windows from as high as the sky. God bless and keep America safe.

No dear Petty pie, I don't mean bagpipes, I know their name and love them. I was raised by Celts. I mean those little blowy things you make go straight and they make a horrible duck like noise. Someone help me out, do they actually have a name

Well, I suppose the backwards American month-day system can do that to you. I never realized how our "911" meme must confuse those with a more rational date system.

But the new tower is up, and the old tower bases are now gaping chasms into which water flows ceaselessly, surrounded by brass panels inscribed with the names of all who died. The names are arranged by association (offices, relatives, etc) rather than some socially arbitrary system like alphabet, which I think makes reading the names more meaningful.

This has a nice animated picture of the memorial: http://names.911memorial.org/

No, she means these, which (quite logically) appear to be called "blowouts" though I doubt anyone except sales people would know this without finding them on a website.

oh Az how funny you are. I think I last saw a kazoo when I was five. I always associate them with the twenties and all the quirky weird, well let"s just say rather mental things the gentry were doing. The thought of a group of people whipping out their kazoos at party is hysterical. I love it! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Leelee saw 9-11 which is the 9nth day of november.

911 happened on September 11, which is what americans would refer to as 9-11.

Is that what you are confused about?  Or is it that your current time seems an hour or two off? (mine is right).

The theme from Rocky sounds great on kazoos. But you have to have musicians, I've had a hellish time explaining to non-musicians how you build the chord in the opening fanfare. It's so simple, but they just don't get it Banghead

If you have friends with other kazoos you can, but they have to understand what you're talking about. Humming at them doesn't seem to hold their attention unless they have some musical background. Mad

you can but you need  lot of spit.  And  a good set of pipes, not bag.  HI AZ , how are you anyway?

I was hoping we could go to supper in a really posh restaurant, perhaps retro and instead of the boring obligatory birthday party singing for a guest, quite of of tune, you could stand up on the table in yout best Betty Davis gown and play it on your blue kazoo. Hmm Halvsie, me thinks you know too much about kazoos.  Perhaps you worked as a sales person at Harrods? No for you it would be Tiffany's. I told Clayton-Ashley the blowers name, real name you said, and he was shocked. He never knew they had a name. Now we have something absorbing to say at awkward dinner parties.
