So, Figg was saying on the other thread that some of her posts had disapeared. Notably here

I thought it was just one of those freak of nature things, but when Sinister brought up a couple of weeks old thread I noticed about half the posts on the first page has disapeared too. At least in my browser.

So.. is the fabric of the nature of reality of the forum breaking appart, or..?

Perhaps I've just been reading too much about balefire recently.

Mmm not sure whats going on here- but yeah that page you linked too Blue the first set of posts are blank for me too. And that includes one of MY posts!

I think the posts disappeared when Uranus eclipsed the Moon.

Hey guys, I noticed this when some people brought it up. Seems that it was a problem on the technical side with Forumotion. This has affected numerous forums that are hosted through this service (which has been very good to us on the whole), but it appears that the data is not retrievable. Fortunately it doesn't seem to have affected too many threads on here.

As buttercup has said this was down to a bug we had on our servers at the weekend it lost some post data.

The post will still be there but the text you had typed may have or has been removed and we can not get this data back.

The data was lost when we had to fix the problem on the servers.

We are really sorry about this and we have worked hard to get this back but we can not do so.

We have now fixed the problem that gave us that problem in the first place.

We are now happy that this should not happen again.

Ah. Thank you, Eldo. What would we do without you.

I had a look around before I posted that, and there are some posts missing around the place. Hopefully nothing too important though.

I still think it smells of balefire, but who knows..

Also I think this is the first thread I've ever started. One could say about time after almost a year, I guess.

I saw the fabric of reality of the forum unravelling, and did what I thought was needed.  

Seriously though, not sure why it has taken me so long. I did have some ideas once upon a time, I think, but it always seemed like a bit of a step for some reason.

I can definitely understand that. Don't hold back if there's something you want to talk about that doesn't quite fit in to any current thread, though.

Yeah. I'll try to be a bit less timid about it, certainly.

But it's not like there's not a lot of debate going on here already, so it'll have to be something that actually justifies a new thread.

Yup where is RA- did he finally say something which really can get you killed in Forumshire?!

RA has been largely inactive for some time now, but his last post was only two weeks ago, and he's had a number of sporadic visits in the months preceding that.  I suspect he's just busy or exploring other interests.
