Do we like Norc?
Re: Norc for presidency
Orwell wrote:Well, Odo certainly is experinced, knowledgeable, fair minded, good.... and, above all, Respectable - and he has never bribed me - not once...
I wonder if he can deal with all the skeletons in his closet, though. I recall that being somewhat problematic for his last campaign...

I want to be Chief Whip, I would be very good at the job, I would sort that Banks clan out in a Flick of a Geoduck.

You have to read between the lines Norc, one day you'll master the ability.

no, we're a monarchy..Eldorion wrote:What's with all this President talk? We're not a republic here.
Re: Norc for presidency
Quite right Norc! Eru bless the Queen! (and her buckie cellar )
Of course it is a constitutional monarchy, as is right and proper, so Eldo actually does the constitutional stuff himself, with a totalitarian (but fair, very fair! ) zeal, but at least we have a figure head to wave flags at and make us not think about that!
The position of Mayor is one for the people, because it has no actual power, under the rules of the last election mods and Admin are not eligible to run.
The main duty of Mayor is to represent Forumshire at banquets in a humorous fashion that will make for a good tale later
You also cannot nominate yourself if memory serves (I shall need to check the Forumshire election rules- Eldo keeps rewriting them ) candidates have to be nominated by someone else.

I honestly forgot about that, but I just double-checked and that was how we did it last time. I suppose we should make a new thread for people to offer nominations, then.

Re: Norc for presidency
Oh, and here was me thinking someone was orchestrating some kind of coup. I'll have to settle for a mayoral election, I guess.

Don't put your trust in revolutions. They always come around again. That's why they're called revolutions.
